How We Work
Pathway Tenancy Support Ltd delivers practical, person-centred tenancy sustainment and homelessness prevention support. Our approach is structured, timely, and focused on achieving stable housing outcomes.
Our Process
Referral Received
We accept referrals from local authorities, housing associations, charities, supported housing providers, and community organisations. Referrals can be made by email or through our contact page. All referrals must be made with the individual's knowledge and consent.
Initial Contact
Once a referral is received, we aim to make initial contact with the client within 48 hours. During this stage we introduce the service, confirm consent to engage, explain how support will be delivered, and arrange an assessment appointment.
Housing and Risk Assessment
We complete a focused housing assessment to identify tenancy risks and current challenges, rent arrears and benefit issues, communication or advocacy needs with landlords, and any safeguarding or vulnerability concerns. This allows us to prioritise actions and agree clear goals with the client.
Support Planning
A tailored support plan is developed with the client, setting out agreed actions and timescales, level and frequency of contact, and roles of partner agencies where applicable. Support is flexible and responsive to the client's circumstances.
Active Tenancy Support
We provide practical, hands-on support which may include liaison with landlords and housing officers, support with benefit claims and income issues, rent arrears management and budgeting support, advocacy and attendance at housing appointments, and signposting to specialist services where needed.
Stabilisation and Review
Support continues until tenancy risks are reduced and the housing situation is stabilised. Progress is reviewed regularly, and updates are provided to the referrer where appropriate and lawful.
Case Closure and Outcomes
Once support objectives are achieved, the case is closed in a planned and transparent way. Where required, a brief outcome summary can be shared with the referring organisation.
